Easter-The Real Reason

thThe tomb is empty, He is risen.  The debt and the wages for our sin have been paid by Jesus.  We could not do it ourselves for in ourselves we are not pure and holy; our righteousness is as filthy rags.  Only when we accept Jesus as our Savior do we receive pureness, righteousness and holiness.  It is HIS PURENESS, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS and HIS HOLINESS.

The Good News of the Gospel is that Jesus not only died to take the judgment of our sin, BUT that God raised HIM up from the dead.  The Bible says “the wages of sin is death” and because there was no sin in Jesus, death could not hold Him.  He purchased back the authority that was initially given to Adam; thus the reason Jesus is called the Last Adam.  Sin entered the world by one man’s disobedience and Salvation entered the world by one man’s obedience.  The power of Christianity is in the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead.  Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save to the world.

So let’s celebrate EASTER with great joy.  Let’s celebrate EASTER with great praise and honor to the Savior of the world – Jesus.

Easter is more than the cute little bunnies , the colorful eggs we hide and find, and the wonderful candy.  Easter is about the Saving Grace of Jesus being made available to all who will receive Him.

If you would like to make Jesus your Savior, pray this prayer.

“Heavenly Father, I believe in my heart that Jesus died for my sins, and that God raised Him from the dead so that I might be saved and have eternal life.  I accept your forgiveness for all my sin.  I confess Him to be my Savior and Lord, and now accept Him to live in me.  I will live for Jesus from this day forward.  I thank you Father for saving me and for giving me eternal life.  In Jesus Name, Amen.”

Isaiah 64:6 – All our righteousness are as filthy rags.

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:19 – For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

1 Corinthians 15:45 – The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

John 3:16-17 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God  sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 12:47 – Jesus said that He did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

Romans 10:9-20 – That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus; and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness; and with your mouth you make confession unto Salvation.
